2026 Thursday Men's League

The Thursday Men's League will officially start back up on Thursday, May 28th at 5:30pm!

LEAGUE INFORMATION

FORMAT OF GAME

  • 9-Hole Blind-Draw Net Stableford - In a Stableford format, players earn points by playing each hole. The total amount of strokes taken minus a player's net strokes will determine the amount of points a player will earn for that hole. After the round is completed, the amount of points earned on each hole are added up for a final point total. This is a two-person team stableford format, players will be randomly paired together through a blind-draw. The total amount of points earned between both players will be added together for their final point total. The team with the highest amount of points will win the game for that week.

  • Canadian Skins - Canadian skins is a variant of a net skins tournament that favors a natural (gross) score over a net score. If multiple players tie for the lowest score on a hole, but only one of those players did it with their gross score, then that player wins the skin.

INVITED GUESTS

  • Guests are eligible to play in the SJGCC Thursday Men's League.
  • Guests may only play if they are invited by a member.
  • Members can either request a guest to play through the League Web Portal, or they may call the golf shop and have the guests added manually.
  • Participating guests must have a verifiable GHIN handicap in order to compete in the game. It is also preferred, but not required, that the invited guest play with their host member.

TEE BOX SELECTION

  • The following tee boxes are eligible to play from: BLUE, BLUE/WHITE, WHITE, WHITE/SILVER, SILVER & SILVER/RED.
  • Players may play from whichever tee box they feel most comfortable playing.
  • There are no age or handicap requirements for players playing in this league.

  • Cart Fee = $16+

SEASON TOURNAMENT

  • The points a player earns on each hole will be collected and applied to a player's league standings.
  • The players that have earned 200 or more points after Thursday, September 3rd will receive a complimentary dinner served by the club and will be eligible to compete for a bonus players purse after the final round.
  • The players purse will be collected by a purse fee from each player, every Thursday. The purse will be carried by the club and updates on its size can be provided throughout the season.
  • Guests are not eligible to compete for the players purse on the final Thursday of the season.
